" I had the pleasure of getting to know Emily over the Summer 2024 semester when she was a student in my study abroad course in Barcelona, Spain. As many academicians know, teaching abroad affords the opportunity to build stronger relationships with students through the learning opportunities and cultural experiences that are unique to study abroad courses. I was able to witness Emily's ability to form strong social connections with her peers and service as a resource to other students who were feeling somewhat "homesick" at times.
